I was taking my after work walk on Tuesday, and came to this message written in the sand -
These prayer beads are for you with love. If the beads were there, I would have to assume that they were for somebody else. I don't know what you do with "prayer beads", but if it involves praying, I'm not really interested. Still, it is much better than the presents that the people with dogs leave on the trail.

I uploaded a couple pictures of part of a herd of pronghorn at the end of my driveway. I was driving out to the road, when the biggest herd I have ever seen started pouring over the ridge into the draw. I remembered that I actually had my camera with me a little late to see the main part (down the draw to the left) but i got a couple good pictures of the stragglers still on the road as I drove up on them. Blizzards are the only time you will see this many antelope running together like this. Usually it is a group of about 10 to 15 at the most, spread out, with lookouts on the ridges.

I've been messing around with the faveiconfor Catawampus. The icon I came up with, a C tipped to the side with the Catawampus colors is a little too plain, but it will have to do for a while. While uploading it, and seeing if the different domains pick it up, I found out that
ericvanauken.com isn't working. I wonder how long that has been screwed up. Looking at it in this entry, I think I like the border around it, time for a quick edit, and an email to my provider.

My parents picked up a used laptop for me in Seattle, and I am waiting for UPS to deliver it. It will be my experimental laptop... the third in the house, joining the three active desktops. We like computers. Anyhow, the weather is weird again, a foggy ice storm after a nice sunny day, a blizzard, a freeze, and wind storm. Welcome to Wyoming. Here is pic from today of the beacon, and a picture of Garfield that I took a bit late during Sunday's thaw.

Not only is it already Monday, but it is late Monday. I am planning to sum up my week on Sundays (if I don't get to it at all during the week) and I didn't get to it yesterday. I've started a bad habit, again, of staying up just past 11pm to check on what the
woot is for the night. So far I've snagged some great speakers, a gaming mouse, and a webcam... and have lost an hour or so of sleep every night.
